Dr. Prakash Kalmadi, besides setting–up Kare, is the illustrious son of Dr. Shyam Rao Kalmadi with 33 years of proven western medical experience accompanied with his studies in the science of Ayurveda. Having partnered with Dr. Srinivasan Nair, the century old CNS Chikitsalayam in Kerala, Dr. Kalmadi considers himself the first patient (guest) of KARE.
Over the years the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda has helped to cure millions of people across the globe. Ayurveda, literally the Knowledge of Life is a system to cure diseases, one that strives to help people arrive at perfect health. Whetheryou are ailing or well, Ayurveda is a path to great health, both mentally and physically. ““KARE represents the unique and proven science that has been brought to modern India in the most elegant and convenient form by me. Dr. Kalmadi's services come straight from his heart, so much so, that his day to day actions at Kare are exemplary and a motivating factor for his staff. He's also passionate about Iyengar Medical Yoga, not only as a practitioner, but also as a teacher of Iyengar Medical Yoga in the treatment program at Kare.
Mr. Ratanlal Shah
Mr. Ratanlal Shah may have a 76–year young body – but has spent a lifetime practicing Iyengar Yoga, over 40 years in fact. At the age of 3 he displayed his interest in practicing asanas. He is one of the most qualified yoga teachers from the Iyengar institute, and brings his rich experience, expertise, coupled with total dedication and devotion, have the blessings of Guruji himself – B.K.S. Iyengar. He was privileged to learn medical yoga from the Master himself and developed into a professional yoga teacher. He continued practicing yoga during his business travels. The tricky medical cases of illness are restored to health under his steadfast supervision, along with the Ayurvedic treatments here at Kare.
Dr. Rohit Rangappa

Dr. Rohit holds a B.A.M.S.. Degree from Pune’s Bhartiya Vidyapeeth Deemed University and is well trained in pulse diagnosis. His family roots lie in the spiritual city of Banaras, India where Ayurveda is practiced in ancient Ayurveda and considered as the home of gods. His all–consuming passion to train as an Ayurvedic doctor, an inspiration that can be attributed to his father, provided him the opportunity to be trained under great teachers. Following his expertise in pulse diagnosis, or nadiparikshan, he astonishes guests by his diagnosis.
Dr. Roli Rangappa

Dr. Roli Rangappa was born into a family of Ayurvedic Doctors that traditionally treated several Indian royal families of repute. Medical administration, teaching and guest relations are all part of her day’s work. She is a determined believer of the "practice what you preach" philosophy – and continued yoga asana–shirshsan (the legendary ‘upside–down’ pose) till the eighth month of her pregnancy. Dr Rangappa dreams of nothing short of spreading Ayurveda throughout the world, especially the magic treatment of Panchkarma. Dr Rangappa holds a BAMS degree from the Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University and has attained post– graduate proficiency in Panchkarma from the Tilak School of Ayurveda.
Dr. Dhanraj Shetty

Dr. Dhanraj is a self–motivated doctor who always believed in the holistic approach of yoga and Ayurveda. He brings to Kare experience in yoga and Ayurveda. He is also a firm believer of various meditation therapies. to help guests get over various experiences of their lives, he takes personal or group meditation sessions in the evening. The sessions have calming and relaxing effects on the guests.
Dr. Sucheta Shirodkar

Dr. Sucheta is a young,compassionate and highly professional individual who has attained graduation from Muniyal Institute of Ayurvedic Health Science,Mumbai.She has been actively involved in the preparation of Herbal Oils and other herbal formulations.
With a commanding knowledge in the field of Herbal plants she has been instrumental in organizing and planting herbs at KARE’s very own herbal garden.
Dr.Sucheta also manages the KARE Spa which specialises in treatments like Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Thai Massage ,Aroma Massage and a range of Beauty therapies.
Sharmistha S.Lonkar
Dietician
Diet and cooking was Sharmishtha’s passion from childhood. Sharmishtha graduated in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Sister Nivedita Damodar Thackersey (S.N.D.T) College, Pune. She excels in counseling our guests. She helps them appreciate the science behind the healing science of Ayurveda, and is adept at combining Modern Dietetics and Ayurvedic Principles. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Nutrition and Public Health Management from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.

Dipali is our Front Office Manager with years of experience in a leading five–star resort in India. She’s known to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that no guest request is too small.

My wife and I have been told many good things about your centre by two of our lady acquaintances who have just returned from a two week session with you. Now that we have also seen your web site we are encouraged to attend.
Kindly therefore advise us by return email the procedure for the same. We are both Canadians and would probably need visa etc for which we would also need invitation letters. Please confirm. Thanks.
